
Chicago Police Officers Save Fellow Officers Life
Quick acting officers are able to revive a fellow officer after collapsing
CHICAGO – On March 5, 2016, at approximately 9:55 p.m. CST, a Chicago Police officer suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness in the lobby of the Public Safety Headquarters building at 3510 S. Michigan, Chicago, Ill.
Several officers immediately went to the officer’s aid and quickly took control of the situation with one of the officers performing CPR. The officers then used an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) on the officer who then regained consciousness.
The officer, a 55-year-old male, and a 29-year veteran of the department was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
