According to the Jerusalem Post, The United States condemned the recent attack on an Istanbul Police bus. On June 7, 2016, the White House released a statement against the recent terrorist attack, which killed 11 and wounded 36 people. This is the most recent attack to Istanbul, Turkey by terrorists in recent weeks.
The United States stands with Turkey, who is a NATO ally, and a valued partner. This is yet another instance where the United States feels it is necessary to stand unified with their allies against the terrorist units found around the region. Turkey is the bridge between the Middle East and Europe. Terrorist attacks occur on a daily basis around the world, which makes it even more important for the nations of the world to come together to fight against the terror these extremist groups continue to spread.
Terrorist activities continue around the world, which renews the need for the discussion about the war on terror because it seems to be a winless battle which has continued into the second decade of the new millennium.
