Kevin Spacey Arraigned on Alleged Sexual-Assault Charges

59-year-old Kevin Spacey will be appearing Monday in a Nantucket, Massachusetts court to be arraigned on an allegation that he sexually assaulted a man.

The charge, which is considered a felony, is the result of an incident that occurred in 2016.  It is alleged Spacey bought drinks for the 18-year-old victim, put his hands down the front of his pants and grabbed his genitals.

The alleged victim’s mother is Heather Unruh, a former television newswoman from Boston. She reported the allegations of the sexual assault in 2017 while she was participating in a news conference.

In Dec. 2017, authorities filed a criminal complaint against Spacey, based on those allegations.

Last week, a judge denied a request by Spacey who wanted to avoid attending his arraignment in person.

In paperwork that Spacey filed with the court, he stated that he felt if he attended the arraignment it would magnify the publicity which is primarily negative that this case has already generated with the public.

Although Spacey’s lawyer will not comment on the case, it is rumored he will be pleading not guilty to the to the criminal complaint.

After he was charged, Spacey recorded a video for YouTube in which he appeared to be in the character of  the role he plays on “House Of Cards.” He asked people to not judge him or the case.

At the news conference, the victim’s mother was tearful as she spoke about the alleged incident between her son and Spacey.

Ms. Unruh openly admitted that her son was not of age that to legally consume alcoholic beverages. She also stated that he was already drunk when it is alleged Spacey bought him multiple drinks and sexually assaulted him.

Ms. Unruh also conceded that her son was heterosexual and star struck with Spacey. The victim did not know Spacey was a sexual deviant.

The producer of Spacey’s “House of Cards” series and Netflix cut all ties with the actor in 2017 after the harassment and sexual assault charges were levied against him.

A Massachusetts State Police Trooper interviewed the alleged victim and reported that the victim stated the alleged assault occurred in July 2016 after his shift as a busboy at a restaurant was over.
