Roger Stone said on Jan. 25, 2019 p.m. ET that he will please not guilty to the to the charges brought against him by the special counsel.
Stone addressed the crowd who was divided. Some shouted “lock him up,” and others shouted support. He told the crowd that he would plead not guilty to the charges and looks forward to defeating them in court.
Stone continued by saying he will never bear false witness against Trump and will not make up false statements to ease the pressure that has been put on him from the investigation. He knows he will be vindicated. Stone also said he would not testify against Trump because if he did, he would have to bear false witness.
Trump tweeted after Stone’s arrest:
Greatest Witch Hunt in the History of our Country! NO COLLUSION! Border Coyotes, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers are treated better.” The president also suggested someone may have tipped off CNN to record video of the early morning arrest, though there were growing signs Thursday at the grand jury in Washington that Stone could be charged soon.
Stone reported he would be arraigned on the charges brought against him by Robert Mueller in a Washington, D.C. court next week. No date has been set.
