David Chikerotis Son, of ‘Chicago Fire’ Actor Attacked and Murdered Age 31

The son of “Chicago Fire” actor Steve Chikerotis, David Chikerotis from Oak Forest, Illinois was attacked and beaten on March 23, 2019, at 5:43 pm ET. He succumbed to his injuries on March 25 at age 31.

The victim’s brother called the police to a home in Evergreen for a wellness check. When the police arrived at 8:20 am ET, Chickerotis was found unconscious, and the house was splattered with blood. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for emergency surgery and was placed on life support after being diagnosed with head trauma from the beating.

Chikerotis was the son of Steve Chikerotis, a retired Fire Chief in Chicago who served on “Chicago Fire” as their technical advisor. He also appeared on the show as Steve Walker.

Stacy L. Krisik, 33 years old, Jonathan Owens, 30 years old, and Jessica Doherty 26 years old were charged with attempted murder and appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse on March 23 for a bond hearing. The three individuals were friends of Chikerotis.

Police say that the assault was caused by a disagreement which erupted while playing cards, after consuming cocaine and alcohol throughout the evening.

It is alleged that the three beat Chikerotis for three hours, taking breaks to smoke marijuana.

It is alleged that the girlfriend of Chikerotis was present, but did not participate in the attack. She did not want to call the police and called his brother instead to have him pick up the victim. Chikerotis told his brother not because he was afraid he would be killed the prosecutor reported. Chikerotis was unconscious when the police arrived.

The scene of the crime was so horrific, the police called for the assistance of the Major Crimes Task Force of South Suburban. Bail was denied.
