RiverdaleOn March 6, 2019, Filming on the CW television show “Riverdale” resumed. The show shut down production for two days after the death of the series co-star Luke Perry. Production stopped on March 4 after Perry died from a massive stroke.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa “Riverdale’s,” developer/executive producer wrote on his Instagram on March 6 “I am going through my pictures on the way to the set.” He posted a photo with the cast and Perry when the series started. He added that Perry will always be in their hearts and this evening’s show will be dedicated to Perry, along with all the episodes in the entire run of the series.

On the series, Perry played Fred Andrews, the father of Archie. The series is based on the Archie comics. His character was featured in the episode on March 6 where he could be seen comforting his son who had been stabbed.

At the end of the show, a memorial card came onto the screen with Perry’s name and the date of his birth and death.

Perry fanbase started in the 90s with “Beverly Hills 90210.” He also had roles in the television show “Oz.” Perry also appeared in the films “8 Seconds,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and “The Fifth Element.”
