R. Kelly May Be Heading Back to Jail for Not Paying Child Support

R. Kelly may be heading back to jail again soon because he has not paid the child support he has been ordered to pay.

Kelly was jailed a few months ago for not paying child support he owed.

Sources spoke with TMZ and told them the singer had missed the past two months of payments he was ordered to pay his ex, Drea Kelly. A judge ordered R. Kelly to pay in child support $20,833 a month to Kelly.

Kelly was thrown into jail in March after not paying the mother of his children $161,633 in child support. This legal issue happened after the singer was arrested on alleged sex abuse charges.

Kelly was released from prison after another person paid for the back child support he owed. After being released, Kelly petitioned the court and asked the judge to lower the required amount of $20k. Kelly claimed he could not afford to pay the large amount.

The judge agreed to listen to arguments, which is set for May 8, 2019.

Until the case is heard, the Grammy Winner must pay the $20K a month, and the judge who put him in prison once before will have no difficulties doing it again.
