WinslowThirty-five-year-old Kellen Winslow Jr, the son of Kellen Winslow, the San Diego Chargers Hall of Famer’s trial began on May 20, 2019, in Southern California.

During the opening statement, Winslow was emotionless. His father was present in the courtroom, sitting behind his son.

Winslow had a football career with the NFL which was plagued by injury and earned over $40 million.

Winslow is charged with raping in 2003 an unconscious 17 years old girl while he was a student at the University of Miami. He was also on the football team.

It is also alleged he raped a homeless woman who was 59 years old, and a hitchhiker who was 54 years old, prosecutors say.

It is also alleged that he exposed himself to a woman who was 57 years old while she was gardening and a woman who was 77 while she was in the hot tub in a fitness club.

The charges levied against Winslow include sodomy, forced oral sex, rape, indecent exposure, and kidnapping. Winslow has pled not guilty to the 12 counts he is accused of and if found guilty, could get a sentence of life.

The lawyers for Winslow say the sex between Winslow and the alleged victims was consensual. They also told the judge and jury to not judge their client by the adulterous act committed by his father.

In 2004, Winslow was selected by the Cleveland Browns as the No. 6 choice and was with the team for five seasons. During that time, there were reports that a woman, who did not press charges, caught him in a Target parking lot masturbating. He denied the allegations.

In 2018, Winslow was arrested after law enforcement found evidence that he broke into the home of a woman who was 71 years old. A few days later, it is alleged he broke into the Encinitas, California home of a woman who was 86.

Those charges were ultimately dismissed in July 2018 a judge during the preliminary hearing.

Winslow was then arrested for the rape of two different women.

It is alleged on March 17 he offered a woman who was hitchhiking a ride. He then raped the 54-year-old in a shopping center’s parking lot.

It is alleged he threatened to kill the woman if she told anybody about the rape.

After posting bail, Winslow was arrested again on charges of raping the two women.

The woman went to police four days later but would not be examined. She did give them the pants she was wearing, which had blood on them. DNA was found on the garment, which was a match to Winslow’s semen.

Later, Winslow became the friend of the homeless woman who was 59. It is alleged in May 2018 he sodomized her.

While out of bail for $2 million, he was arrested for exposing himself to the two women. He was brought back to jail and has been there ever since.
