On May 19, 2019, Scarlett Johansson’s publicist, Marcel Pariseau, announced that she and Colin Jost will be getting married. According to Pariseau, the couple has yet to set the wedding date. The couple has been dating for two years now and this will be Jost’s first marriage, while it will be the “Avengers” star’s third.
The 34 year old actresses’ first marriage was in 2008 to actor Ryan Reynolds, whom she divorced just over two years later in December of 2010. Johansson’s second marriage to Romain Dauriac yielded a baby girl, Rose, but the couple filed for divorce in March of 2017. Their divorce was finalized in September of the same year.
In November of 2017, Johansson and Jost publicized their relationship. The couple’ s engagement followed two months after a source told “PEOPLE” Magazine that the two were considering marriage. The source stated that Johansson and Jost were in love and shared many interests and a similar sense of humor. They added that “Scarlett is very happy.”
NBC’s co-host to the hit show “Weekend Update,” Colin Jost, spoke to “Entertainment Tonight” saying how great his now fiancee is. He stated, “she’s pretty cool… It’s hard to have a lot of complaints, she’s pretty awesome.” He went on to explain how he and Johansson first met when she was hosting “SNL” in 2006, during his first year writing for the show.
Thirteen years later, and Johansson and Jost are now an engaged couple. They were most recently seen together at the premier of “Avengers: Endgame” in Los Angeles, California.
However, while things may be going well for the actress on a romantict level, that does not mean other areas of her life are as solid, as things have not been completely easy for the “Avengers” star over the last few months. On April 8, 2019, Johansson was on the “Jimmy Kennel Live!” show, promoting her new movie. Following her appearance, she and her security team needed the help of the police after being bombarded and allegedly stalked by a mob of photographers.
Johansson says that after she left the show, five cars with blacked out windows, all full of males, tailed her and her team, running traffic lights and putting others on the road at a safety risk. She says they were attempting to find out where she was staying so that they could stalk her and her daughter, Rose, for the rest of their stay. Johansson expressed her concerns, stating that the paparazzi follow her and Rose to places like the playground and take pictures of them. She says that the paparazzi go to places that should be off limits to them, but are not.
Johansson was taken to the Los Angeles’ police department for extra security measures. The police say that she was a little “spooked” by the situation, but she eventually left the station without filing a report.
