Viola Davis Is Expanding Her Resume With the Help of L’Oreal Paris

Viola Davis has been a part of many projects. From film to TV, the actress has made a name for herself and because of that, it should come as no surprise that she is expanding her resume. In fact, it seems that her latest role is as the face of L’Oreal Paris.

According to PopSugar, Davis, who might best be known for the series “How To Get Away With Murder,” was announced as the new spokeswoman for the beauty company on September 10. In a statement from Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, the Global Brand President, announcing the actress’ new role, Viola Davis was welcomed into the family.

In the statement, Viguier-Hovasse explained the reason the actress was chosen was because “Viola’s tenacity, authenticity and bold spirit resonate with and inspire so many people.” She went on to say that Davis has always worked her hardest to challenge the “status quo,” while also striving to always lead by example, even as she pushed to succeed at anything she set her mind on.

It is thanks to all of these aspects of her personality that L’Oreal Paris feels that Davis is the perfect person to not only be their next spokeswoman, but also elevate their core mission statement of “Because I’m worth it,” to the next level.

Viola Davis joins a long list of famous women who have been the face of L’Oreal Paris, including Celine Dion, Eva Longoria, and even her “HTGAWM” co-star, Aja Naomi King.

In her own statement about having been chosen as the beauty brand’s new spokesperson, Davis said that, “As a young girl, I wasn’t always told that I was smart, beautiful, or worthy. I worked tremendously hard to get where I am today — overcoming feelings of doubt to become a woman who truly believes I am ‘worth it’ in every way.”

Over the years, it seems that it has become a part of her mission to help other women feel more confident in themselves. Beyond that, the actress has also worked hard to be a role model for other women, and that is something she believes has not only helped her to get to this point in her life, but will also make this role so important. Not only does she get the chance to inspire other women, but as the face of L’Oreal Paris, Viola Davis gets the opportunity to prove that age (Davis is 54-years-old) is just a number.

Davis will apparently be featured in everything from commercials on television to print advertisements, as well as in online campaigns for L’Oreal Paris starting towards the end of September (although there is no set date as for when fans can expect to see the actress appearing places). Specifically it seems that she will be working on their Age Perfect line of skin care products.
