Robertson

On the afternoon of April 24, 2020, there was a drive-by shooting at the home of the “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 3300 block of Arkansas Road located in West Monroe, Louisiana, around 3:30 p.m. ET.

Was Anyone Injured?

Robertson reported that one bullet came through the window of his son John Luke’s bedroom. Luckily his son, daughter-in-law, and infant grandbaby were not injured. Most of the Robertson family is staying on the property due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The whole family had been in the yard, roughly five minutes prior to the shooting. Robertson says that he had left moments before going to the store. The Robertson property and homes are behind a gated fence far from the road.

Witnesses state they saw/heard several gunshots fired from a white with brown or beige Ford F-250. The vehicle had huge tires and rims.  A nearby surveillance camera caught the incident.

Did Police Make Any Arrests?

Lousiana police arrested Daniel King Jr., who is 38-years-old, and charged him with aggravated assault by drive-by shooting, as well as criminal neglect toward a family. King Jr.’s bond was set at $150,000.

There were a few other occupants in the vehicle with King Jr. at the time. Assumably, these people are still at-large since there have been no reports of who they are, or what their role was in the shooting.

Robertson says the family was scared and “shook up” from the shooting. They were especially surprised that it happened during the day. He also believes that the man knew it was his property, however, he is dumbfounded as to why anyone would shoot up his property.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office is still actively investigating this shooting.
