
Happy Birthday, Lil Wayne. We can’t believe that you’re 40 years old. Lil Wayne has been in the music industry since he was a child. He has won multiple awards for his unique style and independent music label, Young Money.
His real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. You can catch Carter Jr. on tour in the U.S. right now with his new band, the Young Money All-Stars.
His Breakout single from this album was Tha Block Is Hot. After Releasing Tha Block Is Hot, Lil Wayne went on to release three more albums: Lights Out (2000), 500 Degreez (2002), and Tha Carter (2004).
In case you’re not familiar with Lil Wayne, he’s an American rapper and singer born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans and attended McMain Secondary School. He began rapping at age 9 when he was a cast member of the TV series “The Mickey Mouse Club.”
You may not be aware, but Carter Jr. is a musical artist — a rapper, to be precise. He is also the CEO of Young Money Entertainment with a list of artists on its roster. It includes Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Jae Millz (among many others).
Although the lecture is part of a Pre-existing class, NMAAM in Partnership with Vanderbilt will post the discussion to students who sign-up to attend the lecture in person at the Museum to view the live stream on NMAAM’s Facebook.

The exhibit includes personally donated Artifacts from Lil Wayne and honored his 40th birthday which was on September 27, 2022.
In addition to the exhibit unveiling, the students will have the opportunity to hear from Lil Wayne virtually. The unveiling will feature live music and Interactive engagement for students to record themselves to Lil Wayne’s lyrics in the Museum’s Rap Booth and his impact on American music and their lives.

The floating Staircase leads to the second floor, which holds the 2,500 Square-foot main retreats. The room is Equipped with a sitting area, an Expansive private terrace, a walk-in closet, and dual bathrooms.
The estate features an impressive entry with double doors at the end of a floating walkway over the water. Carter Jr. has a movie theater, wine cellar, elevator, and outdoor patio surrounded by garden walls.
