Trump Lied About His Economy, Biden is Saving Our Nation from Another Failed Republican
Trump bragged about the economy, although his “successes” were actually the accomplishments of the Obama Administration. He used the same policy adopted by his three Republican predecessors known as “trickle-down economics,” which failed miserably. His failure to lead our nation in the fight to save us from the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a near depression. Trump proved time and time again that he knows nothing about governing or business. He is our nation’s greatest failure. President Biden chose the best economists to be his advisers, following the policies of President Obama. His economy is growing and improving the quality of life for all Americans while reducing the deficit caused by three Republican presidents.
Unlike Trump, Biden has a Plan
On Wednesday, President Biden announced his new budget. If approved, which is highly improbable because he faces the “party of no” created by Moscow Mitch McConnell, it will reduce the deficit by nearly three-trillion dollars over the next 10 years. His plan is simple: make the super-rich pay their fair share of taxes. The best part is that only those making over $400,000 per year will experience a tax increase.
Republicans Will Reject any Plan Which Improves the Lives of the Working Class
However, right-wing politicians will undoubtedly protect their wealthy owners: millionaires and billionaires.
For four years Trump constantly gave tax cuts to the super-rich and our largest corporations. Between 2018 and 2021, some of our largest corporations paid no tax at all or a very small percentage of their bloated earnings.
Huge Differences Between Republican and Democratic Presidents
A little lesson about economics and how our presidents handled the economy since 1981.
Ronald Reagan was inaugurated on January 20, 1981. His election proved to be the closest to a “landslide victory” in many years. Sadly, within a few months those who voted for him, including yours truly, discovered that his campaign promises were nothing but rhetoric. He immediately began wars on the working class, and women. He decided on an economic policy called “supply-side economics.” This became known as “trickle-down economics.” It failed miserably. When Reagan left office in 1989, the deficit had reached one trillion dollars for the first time, and unemployment was rising.
George H.W. Bush was unable to save the economy, probably because he used the same economic policy. When he was forced to raise taxes, Bush 41 was doomed to become a one-term president.
Our 42nd President, Bill Clinton, a Democrat, not only rescued the economy, but when he left office in 2001, the national treasury was not only out of debt, there was a surplus.
More on the Differences
Between 2001 and 2009, George W. Bush was chosen by voters to lead our nation. His first big mistake was to put into place the same economic policy as his two Republican predecessors. After ignoring the warnings of the leaders of our security agencies, he and Vice President Dick Cheney went on vacation late into 2001. When our country was attacked on 9/11, “W” rushed into the invasion of Afghanistan where he believed the architect of the attacks, Osama bin Laden, was hiding. Although he was hiding in the caves surrounding Afghanistan, the attempt to capture or kill bin Laden failed. However, our military remained and the war lasted for the next 20 years.
In 2003, “W” invaded the sovereign nation of Iraq under false pretenses. America was now engaged in two unwinnable wars. This situation, combined with a failed economic system, placed our nation in a near depression by the end of his second term. Our nation was trillions of dollars in debt and unemployment was moving toward an all-time high. Millions of Americans were losing their homes.
Our 44th President, Democrat Barack Obama, selected a cabinet and close advisers who were the best in the world at saving our economy. He reversed the economic downturn, and ended the war in Iraq, and ordered a raid that killed bin Laden. When he left office, another Democrat had rescued a failed Republican. Republican Donald Trump entered into office with our nation in full recovery with plans in place to restore the quality of life for all Americans.
However, Trump remained true to form and attempted to take credit for the success of others. He, too, adopted “trickle-down economics,” and the economy began to slump and the deficit grew. When he failed to lead our nation in the fight against the pandemic, our economy crashed and another Republican left a mess for another Democrat.
Today, thanks to President Biden, our nation’s economy is steadily moving in a forward direction.
It Is the Responsibility of the Fourth Estate to Inform the American People
If all Americans knew these facts, no Republican would win an election for at least two decades. However, the mainstream media is biased in favor of the economic policies of “Republicans” because they are millionaires and their owners, are billionaires.
Corruption extends from Washington to the governments in red states. Anyone who doubts that America is engaged in a second Civil War, knows nothing about our government and likely wastes their most important right, the right to vote.
