The seemingly never-ending wait to see Donald Trump indicted for any one of his many offenses has ended. Finally, on March 30, 2023, the Manhattan Grand Jury voted to indict the former president. As a result, he is the first person in U.S. history to serve as commander-in-chief to be criminally charged, something that experts have discussed in depth.
These legal advisors indicated this is a precedent-setting case, so they do not know how #45 will be arrested. However, most agree that District Attorney Alvin Bragg will allow Trump to surrender. However, they point out he will have to be processed — mug shot and fingerprints — like all other defendants. Moreover, this indictment may interfere with his bid to be the 2024 Republican nominee.

Nonetheless, Trump promises he will continue to campaign. His supporters had contributed over $2 million since March 18, when the former president falsely predicted his impending arrest four days later. In his social media post, #45 told his base to protest, so America must remain alert.
According to The Washington Post, the specific charge or charges are not public since the indictment remains sealed. Perry Stein explained that most people believe the case involved Trump’s payment to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.
The hush money would keep the adult-film porn star from publicly discussing an affair she claimed to have had with the former president years earlier.
