Just hours before the BET Awards and Young Money rapper Drake has pulled out from the show. Despite his 12 nominations the rapper has mysteriously pulled out, leaving producers to scramble on what to do.
No word on why Drake pulled out or if he will actually attend the awards. Still, producers are anxiously trying to figure out what to do next.
A source has said, “Everything is in flux. The producers are all pulling their hair out.”
Could this be Drake’s way of wanting to avoid a confrontation with Chris Brown. Whom the two were both involved in a brawl at WIP nightclub a year ago and have yet to make peace with one another. Though, Drake in a recent GQ interview said that he would like to have a man to man sit down with Chris but also said that, that is not likely to happen.
Fans will just have to wait and see if Drizzy did in fact pull out once the BET Awards pre-show kicks off in just under an hour.
The Pre-Show is expected to have live performances and one of those is from up and coming artist Ace Hood. Ace Hood is expected to release his debut album TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS in July but recently the rapper released his latest single WE OUTCHEA featuring Young Money CEO Lil Wayne. WE OUTCHEA is available now on iTunes.
Also, and in making headlines this weekend, Kendrick Lamar officially became a platinum selling artist as he officially received his platinum plaque for his debut album. Congratulations to Kendrick Lamar on this stellar achievement. The Compton born rapper received his plaque last night in Los Angeles from label during an after party that followed the BET Experience yesterday (June 29.)
