A local Louisiana man has taken hostages in a St Joseph bank on Tuesday.
Police say the man, who’s family owns a store near the bank, went into the local branch of the Tensas State Bank and took three hostages at gunpoint.
Police negotiators have been talking to the unnamed suspect as well as the hostages. Police have said the man is calm and the hostages are unharmed. Demands have been made but police officials have not said what the demands are.
Louisiana State Police superintendent Col. Mike Edmonson wants to be careful and see that the hostages remain ok. “Our utmost concern right now more than anything else is the safety of those hostages.”
