The Xbox One Making a Comeback?

The Xbox One Making a Comeback?

Is the Xbox One beginning to make a comeback? Everyone knows that Microsoft certainly hopes so but is this true? The Xbox One is actually an extremely altered machine from the one that came out to the public about this same time in 2013. It costs less money and has none of those contentious parts that were along with its digital rights management policies. It no longer makes Kinect a required add-on and the graphics processor might possibly have a bit more power to it. Microsoft also broadcast that Xbox One sales had doubled last month after they performed their price cut. Maybe Microsoft’s console is breaking away from the remnants of the launch it had that was filled with nothing but misfortune.

Regardless there are still many worries that abound. The information about hardware sales really only exists at the urges of corporations which sell consoles, so when the public is informed about sales doubling, it is actually unknown exactly what that truly means. It might be an excellent improvement for the Xbox One but the public does not really know the level of problems beforehand. It is believed that the PlayStation 4 will still be on top but with a considerably more dominant Xbox One following in sales.

At the present time, the Xbox One actually kind of looks like the PS4 in its appearance. Bearing in mind how well the PS4 is doing in stores and other outlets, this should not really be considered bad. However it still contains television navigation and HDMI-in as distinctive points but those efforts have not proven to be the game changers Microsoft thought they would be. As the business has been emphasizing in its various news releases, exclusives have once again turned out to be the main differences between each console, and it is unknown how this will turn out in the long run.

It appears that the Xbox One’s major problem at this time is momentum. Even though it might be a very comparable purchase to the PS4 right now, this has not been the case for quite a while and the PS4 was able to take a substantial lead during the time period. That ends up making a huge difference in the video game world because developers start becoming interested in improving consoles and making them with better install bases. However players drift towards any multiplayer platform they happen to see friends using.

It appears to still be somewhat far out from the next real proving opportunity for whichever the Xbox One or the PS4. Launching ended up being first and PlayStation won that one by grabbing hold of the hardcore gaming set. It remains to be seen how the Xbox One and the PS4, respectively, both begin doing when more current games start to arrive on the market, both exclusive and also cross platform. There were numerous titles pushed over to 2015, so it may end up being a 2014 holiday season that really does not give games any reason to make a switch at the present time. Everything remains to be seen.

So is the Xbox One beginning to make a comeback? Everyone knows that Microsoft certainly hopes so but is this true? The Xbox One is actually an extremely altered machine from the one that came out to the public about this same time in 2013.

I find it amazing and weird at the same how every bit of good news for Xbox One is always infested by insecure Sony fanboys, it’s Clearly obvious that they must be searching for Xbox news it’s actually Creepy.

Xbox One starting to add some of the features it had on the 360. I haven’t purchased the new one yet until everything is finalized on the system.

I don’t think the Xbox is in as Dire Straits as it may seem to the public.. It is actually out pacing the other systems that Microsoft has put out before it.. so it still is a good deal, but I feel like the public is more open to becoming gamers, and take advantage of the other things included in the systems too.. Mainly Netflix / Blu ray / other neat applications.. and with the addition of Twitch / Ustream live streaming, and the late addition of youtube to the consoles.. it may convince a lot of people who do let’s plays and the such to purchase one, considering it condenses the upload and process all into one system that also has some exclusive games that don’t come to the PC on it, and you don’t need a Hauppage or similar unit to record anymore.

This influx / wave of newer gamers from the broader consumer base, due to Mobile games, and Facebook introducing games to the masses, I think it has convinced a few that they might enjoy a step up.. and that is why we are seeing such a big influx of system sales. The PS4 also has a strong lead, due to this, in part because a majority of its releases each week are Indie Developers with fairly good games, for a great price.

You get a hell of a deal now-a-days.. Last Generation, it almost felt as if the prices of games were almost never going to go down. They started out at 5-20$ a game cartridge back on NES. Now we are sitting right around 65$ USD, in most places. I think the indies being smaller and more reasonable purchases has a lot to do with bringing newly converted mobile fans to console gaming.

I don’t see the Xbox going away, In my opinion, it won’t win the console war this generation, but I highly doubt it will go away. I assume they will get a boost in their sales next year after a few solid releases, mainly Halo 5.. but even that can only do so much.. I think people are getting stale on the same old IP’s on Xbox.. They need to come up with some new stuff.

Sony has an amazing lineup for 2015, and If Xbox don’t close the gap some before then.. I predict it will only get worse. I would be quite upset if Microsoft dropped out of the console war, because that would mean I wasted over 700$ on Xbox stuff this gen.. So here’s to hoping! LOL

xbone is already selling well and only continues to keep selling. eventually the gap between the ps4 and xbone will be relatively gone hence why you see all the ps4 fanboys running rabid on every positive xbone article, gotta love the insecurity of them jokers. I play on pc but am considering a next gen console soon and in no way will it be a sony box.

That makes no sense,.. gap is only going to get bigger and bigger,.. Every week PS4 outsells xbox one ,.. the gap widens,.

      • Justyn   July 20, 2014 at 6:01 pm

Yeah… The gap widens every month.. 6 months straight the PS4 has outsold the Xbox One in its Main Territory.. North America, and it has no chance outside of NA. It will fall further behind, until it is a for sure 2:1 ratio. The Xbox One doesn’t do ANYTHING better than the PS4. Cable TV has been in decline for some time, people prefer to use netflix, and until recently, it was behind a Pay wall. I mean common.. You had to pay for internet, then netflix, then Xbox Live to watch Netflix.. its never been that way on the Playstation and it never will be.

Running Rabid “all over”. What you basically mean is.. you see Playstation Fanboys berating xbox fanboys, because they have the better system, and it continues to prove it every new game release, every beta, and each month that comes and goes it tops the sales charts.

You do understand why they are so hostile right? It is because for the past decade.. they have endured criticism and crap talk from Xbox Fan boys telling them how terrible their console system choice was.. and how it is nothing compared to the Xbox and its wonderful Services. That was last gen.. this generation, Microsoft has nothing on Sony, and Xbox Fans are clinging to straws to try and find an advantage.

So to this I say.. to each his own, all is fair in Love and War. What goes around comes around.. and if you can’t take it.. don’t dish it out.

Xbox will never catch up to PS4 in global sales.

  6. lol   July 19, 2014 at 11:26 pm

XB1 is dropping to 100k or less in July NPDs going by online sales charts, while PS4 stays at 200k+. The $400 SKU was only a temporary sales bump.

Xbox will make a “comeback”, but not this year. Maybe late 2015.

Are you able to disprove or are you just running around calling names and picking up your ball and going home?
I mean, he has a point. The xbox one has to sell more consoles on a monthly basis over all competition in order to “close the gap”. Is it not?
They also posted the three worst months for sales of a console in the last 8 years.
Plus, I love how you add “I play on pc”. As if this makes your non-argument any more valid.
The comment sections are a public forum. get over it. Just like your pointless “come backs”, they are welcomed, but if you want to get your point across, try more intelligent conversations. Or do not. Just advise on how to make your point valuable.
Reality is not negative. Making up these “Come back articles” are opinion. Opinion articles open up conversation.
OT: No, they are not making a come back yet. And I really do not see strength until halo 5. Yes the MCC is a big deal… to its fans but not a system seller. Sunset overdrive does look absolutely fun, but to me, it also looks like an xbox live download game for $39.99 not a full retail game. Thus far. But Insomniac has never been a system seller.
I think Xbox will, as always, do great through the holiday setting them up for a good 2015 leading to halo 5. This should balance out the systems and possibly then “A come back”.
But if Microsoft does not have its holiday push, I would be worried.

        • lol   July 20, 2014 at 11:28 pm

Holiday sales will be a harsh reality check for delusional microsoft shills.

      • lol   July 20, 2014 at 11:29 pm

Xbox will never catch up to PS4 in global sales. It’s doubtful they’ll catch up in the USA either.
