Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson Upset With DWTS Julianne Hough [Video]

Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson is upset with Dancing With The Stars judge Julianne Hough, regarding comments she made to his 17-year-old daughter Sadie during Monday night’s performance show. The CEO of Duck Commander voiced his opinion during a brief interview with a photographer while on his way to a venue located on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.

When asked to give a review of how his daughter and partner Mark Ballas performed on the most recent episode of DWTS, Robertson and his wife Korie gave the girl extremely high praise, saying that they killed their dance routine and performed excellently. However, the reality television star had some qualms with one of the comments that newly minted judge Julianne Hough gave to her. Hough advised Sadie to get more down and dirty with her dancing, a suggestion that the 42-year-old felt was inappropriate given the girl’s young age. He told the photographer that he planned to have a talk with Hough in order to discuss the nature of the remark, as her dancing advice was definitely not what he felt his 17-year-old daughter should be engaging in. He also joked that the next time his daughter performed, she would be in full Duck Commander gear as to keep those kind of thoughts to a minimum. When asked about the remark in question, Hough said that she in no way meant to suggest Robertson’s daughter should act provocatively, and that she was merely distracted due to the realization that Sadie’s father was in the audience. Hough claims she was so surprised by the Duck Commander CEO’s presence that she gave the comment to Sadie without even really considering what she was saying.

Robertson’s eldest daughter has been thriving during her time on the most recent season of the show, which began last Monday. The judges have so far been immensely impressed with the girl’s dancing ability, given that she has had no extensive prior choreography training, nor is she very experienced in any form of dance due to dancing being banned at her current high school in Louisiana. Sadie herself has commented on the adjustment of going from never dancing at all to dancing in front of 15 million people, stating that it is just as much a challenge as it is enjoyable. She views it as a new experience, and says she will always treasure the time she spends on the show regardless of when or if she gets eliminated. Both of Sadie’s parents have been present at performance and elimination shows so far, with her father tearing up with emotion on more than on occasion while watching his daughter’s progress and listening to the judge’s give their praise regarding her performances. Sadie and her partner Mark were easily voted into the next round of the competition, after escaping the bottom three couples altogether two weeks in a row.

It remains to be seen whether or not Willie Robertson will remain upset with Dancing With The Stars judge Julianne Hough for the comments she made to his daughter this past Monday. For now, however, the Duck Dynasty star does not seem to be too determined to pursue the matter.

This is s non story. Jules didn’t mean that comment in any negative way since if you had listened, you would have understood that she meant to put a lot of effort into improving and work hard. Quit making up stories that aren’t real

I’m going to wager to say that the men commenting are perverts but at the same time if it was THEIR daughters..

Small correction on comment. It’s nice to see a young girl have fun dancing & a bit flirty without being slutty. Anyone that thinks it is normal for 17yr. olds to do down & dirty dancing may be undercover perverts, horny teen boys & the like. JC.

Her father is right!!!! Judge Hough is wrong! Sadie & Mark did well–it was age appropriate dancing. Suggesting a 17yr. old get more down & dirty (dirty dance) IS inappropriate Too many american girls (city, suburban, country, etc.) dance slutty or dirty. And all the out-of-wedlock babies is one result of too much suggestive body movements. It’s nice to see a young girl have fun & flity without being slutty. Buzz off prevs.!!! JC.

How about you guys let the man raise his daughter? Star or not he’s a father before anything else. I love their show, I also watch duck commander because I like hunting. He’s probably very concerned because she’s his oldest daughter so he’s learning along the way..

Wow…you encouraged your 17 year old daughter to participate in DWTS and now you’re going to worry about suggestive remarks…? Oxymoronic. …

Perhaps Willie should keep his 17 year old daughter out of the media and let her be a child. I have more respect for celebrities or other public figures who keep their kids out of the limelight.

He wasn’t upset at all. He was joking. People need to get a grip and stop trying to create drama….

Willie, continue to be in your daughters life. I do not believe your acting when concerned about your children and the advice you give them. God bless you and your family. She will make the right decisions based on the way she was raised and her connection with God.

Willie, Quit the “overly protective father” act and get in the hunt! She does need to quit dancing like a grandma. This is DWTS and no one wants to see that country “I’m drinkin a beer and I’m gonna scratch your truck with my key” crap. Let her be a normal 17 year old. It’s a fact that if you overprotect a kid then they will just do it anyways…and then some. It’s obvious that this protective father crap is an a act, because if it were true you wouldn’t have your whole family on reality TV! Stick to the duck calls.
