The family behind the hit TLC show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has gone house-hunting, sans their patriarch Sugar Bear (real name Mike Thompson). June Shannon, Alana Thompson, Lauryn Shannon, and Thompson’s brother Lee (A.K.A. Uncle Poodle) were seen browsing several houses in Hampton. Georgia early Tuesday afternoon. Hampton is approximately one hour away from the family’s current residence in McIntyre, Georgia.
Shannon brought her two youngest daughters along for the hunt, which took place approximately three days following her split with Thompson. This is the first time that Shannon has taken a step towards her previously suggested plans of moving the kids out of the family’s home, which the Honey Boo Boo father figure no longer lives in. While the 35-year-old originally told sources that she was looking to move closer to family, it is unclear whether or not these individuals live in Hampton, or whether Shannon had other reasons for house hunting in the area. The family, also sans 17-year-old Jessica Shannon, reportedly looked at four difference residences. It is not yet know whether or not there was a consensus on any of them, or whether the group decided to continue their search elsewhere. The oldest daughter of the Honey Boo Boo clan, Anna Shannon, was also not present during the search as she is currently residing with her husband and two-year-old baby in Alabama, to which they moved shortly following their recent nuptials.
Shannon’s recent search for real estate has got Honey Boo Boo fans feeling like the split between her and Thompson may be permanent. Although further developments into the couple’s relationship are not to be revealed until the new season airs, the fact that the show’s matriarch is looking for a new location for permanent residence has viewers thinking that there will be no plans to reconcile between the two, no matter what the next season entails. The house hunt comes just one day after Thompson told a reporter that the allegations of him cheating on Shannon were untrue, although he refused to elaborate on the matter or give any hints to whether or not they would get back together. Producers for Honey Boo Boo are said to be behind this insistence on keeping the matter under wraps, as they are reportedly unsure in which direction to take the new season.
Shannon and Thompson split this past Friday amid allegations that the latter was a prominent member of online dating sites, most exclusively PlentyOfFish. He was said to have created an online profile in which he was outwardly seeking long-term companionship in the family’s hometown of McIntyre, Georgia. Thompson was reportedly asked to leave the family’s residence shortly after the mother’s realization of his online endeavors, and sources close to the matter say he has not slept their since. Recent photos of the two also show that they have both removed their commitment rings, which they began sporting in May of last year following the highly publicized ceremony, which was a dominant part of the show’s third season.
It remains to be seen whether or not June Shannon and the rest of the Honey Boo Boo clan will relocate following the matriarch’s split with her long-term partner. Neither Shannon nor her representative have yet given any public statement regarding the matter.
