Reports say a 15-month-old child was shot and killed in Irvington, New Jersey. The child was in an apartment on Ellis Avenue. Witnesses say that three men wearing hoods were walking down the street randomly shooting at the buildings.
A bullet passed through the wall of the family’s second story apartment, striking Sania Cunningham in the torso as she was bouncing on a bed.
The incident happened about 4:30 Saturday afternoon.
The child was pronounced dead about one-half hour after she arrived at Beth Israel Medical center.
