
Brooklyn on Saturday was the scene of the shooting of two NYPD police officers, according to police sources who spoke to a reporter from the New York Daily News. The shooting of the two policemen occurred in the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant in the proximity of Myrtle Avenue and Tompkins Avenue.
The police officers were transported to Woodhull Hospital. Their conditions have not yet been released.
Other police officers chased after the suspect, according to eyewitness Sarah Khan, who is 22. Following the shooting of the two police officers, the suspect run towards the Myrtle/Willoughby G train subway station.
Inside the station, the suspect was shot by at least one of the police officers, according to a second witness. Though the police in Brooklyn have not confirmed that the suspect was shot, a reporter for the Daily News saw paramedics bringing the suspect out of the subway station on a stretcher, attempting to perform CPR on him, according to the New York Daily News article.
