Sick of the Government’s Cheese!

Another presidential race and another 4-year cycle of political ads and campaign stops. We Americans have become so accustomed to “the system” in which our choices are only Red or Blue.

If you’re Blue; you’re profiled as lazy, poor and a drag on the economy, consuming resources and producing none; and if you’re Red, you’re profiled as greedy, rich and self-centered, caring about nothing but the preservation of your wealth.

For 200 years our political system has basically not changed. Every 4 years we go through the same maze and end up with the same result, a Red or Blue President who just didn’t live up to our standards, broken campaign promises, scandals and lies. We deserve better. When you have to explain to your 8 year old son what oral sex is, you tend to get upset with your leaders’ morals and ethics (or, I should say, LACK OF). This cheese is getting old and moldy in my view. Is it time to search for different cheese?

Just once I’d like to hear a candidate tell us, not sell us, his or her agenda. Tell us about service to others.  Tell us, “This is what I believe in and these are my morals and ethics.”  For once, I’d like to hear, “Vote for me because of what I believe in and what I do, not for what my spin doctor tells you.”  I want a president who will do what he thinks is right no matter what today’s poll says!  Yes…Give me a real leader!  This is America and I believe that we deserve better!  We’ve become little humans, like mice, accustomed to the same old two party maze. I for one am getting sick of this government’s cheese! No matter who wins this next presidential election, one thing I guarantee is that the people will lose!
