Las Vegas police are reaching out to the community for help in the investigation of a possible hate crime that took place last month on the Strip. Matthew Horowitz was attacked after a night out with friends as they were making their way back to their car. The incident took place in the area of the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino. Horowitz said that two men passed him and his friends and made a remark about his sexual orientation. An argument followed rapidly leading to an altercation in which the victim received a laceration running from his mouth to the inside of his cheek and ended up losing a tooth. Police describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 25-years-old, around six-feet-tall and weighing about 160 pounds. There is also a second black male who is sought after as a person of interest. No arrests have yet been made in relation to the attack. The police department has released the pictures of the two men. Anyone who recognizes the suspects or might have any information regarding the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
