The first episode of Bristol Palin’s reality show “Life’s a Tripp” aired earlier this week. It received harsh criticism by many. The harshest may come from Kyle Massey, who is actually suing over the show.
Massey, his mother and his brother are all suing the production company, Associated Television International (ATI), over breach of contract, copyright infringement and unfair competition. Massey and his family had already done all of the work to bring their television show to ATI. They were originally going to do a show with Palin on BIO, but then that station dropped it. But then Lifetime picked it up and dusted the Masseys off, creating “Life’s a Tripp.”
To win the case, Massey just needs sufficient detail and evidence that there are enough similarities between the two shows, which they already seem to have. The two former “Dancing with the Stars” contestants will go at it in court.
