At 6:45 PM this evening, June 3, 2012, a 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit 230 miles south of David, Panama at a depth of 6 miles. Based on the size, location and historical data, there was no tsunami expected. No indication of injuries or damage have been reported. Aftershocks are expected but there will still be no fear of a tsunami.
