Aurora, Colorado Massacre: Yet Another Reason To Mess With 2nd Amendment?

By Garth Baker

In light of the tragic shooting in Aurora, Colorado, the media is asking President Obama and his running mate Mitt Romney what they intend to to about gun control.

I want to dive right in and say gun control isn’t the answer. The 2nd amendment of the United States needs to remain unchanged.  Gun control is not the issue here. Do you honestly think by any stretch of the imagination that James Holmes, a criminal minded person, couldn’t find a gun when he was preparing for this massacre? This wasn’t a knee jerk reaction to something that set him off an hour before he entered the theatre and started gunning down unarmed patrons. Gun control wouldn’t have stopped his attack. In fact, if more people exercised their right to bear arms, someone could have returned fire and maybe eliminated the threat sooner. Less people would have been killed or injured.

Don’t be confused by the “Guns kill people” propaganda that the main stream media advocates. I have never seen a gun kill anyone, but I sure have witnessed several people killed by unstable people in my 20 years as a law enforcement officer. Leave the constitution alone; the 2nd amendment should not be interpreted as the cause of senseless violence. The gun or guns that the malcontent James Holmes possessed was not what killed or injured anyone; it was JAMES HOLMES.

That’s what I say also! If some one had a concealed weopns permit, and returned fire on that bastard!

Couldn’t agree more. Let’s work harder on demonizing criminals and less on inert chunks of metal.
