Last week, TMZ photographed Amanda Bynes driving her BMW on a suspended license while sucking dope out of a marijuana pipe. Now plenty of people will disagree with my opinion and the evidence I lay out in this article, but I believe beyond a shadow of doubt, there’s nothing wrong with smoking marijuana unless you’re Amanda Bynes.
Let me qualify that statement. I have come up with seven reason why in my opinion Amanda Bynes is not normal:
First; the 26-year-old actress was arrested around 3 a.m. on April 6 in West Hollywood. Authorities said her black BMW struck the rear corner of the sheriff’s vehicle. Don’t just gloss right by that statement of fact. How many of you have struck the rear of a police car; that’s what I figured.
Second; it’s one thing to be charged with driving under the influence, and it’s another to refuse a Breathalyzer or blood-alcohol test; Bynes was guilty of both.
Third; following her arrest and suspension of her driver’s license, Amanda Bynes tweeted President Obama on Twitter, which read “Hey@BarackObama… I don’t drink.” The actress continued on Twitter, writing: “Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run.” Now I’m not a professional psychiatrist, but let me ask you; does this seem normal?
I said at the time, if Bynes doesn’t drink than she’s got to be smoking something because from the looks of her tweeted message to President Obama, she certainly can’t be well; and before I could publish my argument:
Fourth; TMZ compiles a gallery of over 20 pictures showing Bynes smoking the good stuff out of a cigarette lighter pipe in her BMW before munching down on a few Baja Fresh tacos and toking up again while parked in a Home Depot parking lot. And I have to stop and ask again; is that normal?
Fifth; the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division investigated the Aug. 4 incident on Ventura Boulevard, in which a motorist said a vehicle driven by Bynes rear-ended and damaged her Toyota on Ventura Boulevard. The driver said Bynes stopped only briefly, declared there was no damage and drove off. And I’m not the only one that questions Bynes’ normality. In a new interview with the victim, named only as Kisa, she claims that the actress was behind the wheel of the black BMW which rear-ended her Volvo last month.
“Someone could have died if [Bynes] kept driving,’ she told TMZ. ‘A normal person would not get away with hit and runs and she shouldn’t either.” I gotta put the question out there again; is this normal?
Sixth; the “She’s the Man” star was pulled over again last Thursday night, just a day after a judge ordered her to hand over her car keys following a string of driving disasters. Now mind you, she’s driving on a suspended license, nevertheless, Amanda allegedly got back behind the wheel and was caught up in a minor collision in a parking lot on Sunset Boulevard.
According to TMZ, the Hairspray star’s car tapped the bumper of another vehicle, but the drivers decided not to exchange details. I know you’ve got to be thinking, something ain’t right.
Now the New York Daily News asserts that “pot, booze, and a pipe might not be the only things responsible for Amanda Bynes’ recent string of bad behavior behind the wheel.” They argue that the former child star has been spotted displaying signs of mental illness. OK, I think we would all agree with that basic premise.
The Daily News further alleges, Bynes has scared members of her expensive West Hollywood gym in recent weeks. She went to the Equinox gym Thursday looking dazed and talking to herself, apparently asking and then answering her own questions, one source said.
Between bursts on the elliptical, Bynes also made a habit of suddenly stopping to break into hysterical laughter “for no reason,” another source told the site. In fact, TMZ in corroboration has stated that they witness the very same behavior reported by the “Daily News.”
OK, were almost done, with the exception of her contact with LAPD. Lt. Andrew Neiman of the Los Angeles Police Department said investigators determined that the Toyota Bynes hit, had about $800 in damage, and the actress did not notify police or exchange insurance information as required by law. He said detectives will forward those findings to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, which will decide whether to prosecute the matter, possibly as a hit-and-run case. Did I say seventh. Yea this one is number seven.
Bynes faces up to a year in jail if convicted in the earlier case and up to a year in jail for the two hit-and-runs, if convicted.
She will be arraigned in court this month on the hit-and-runs. The charges are related to crashes on April 10 and Aug. 4, said city attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan. The
file on the April incident was reopened after the August crash.
Despite all the publicity, it’s quite possible that if Bynes wasn’t famous, she might still have her driver’s license; terrifying!!! The only reason she was charged with the hit-and-run was because the prosecutor looked into both cases after they were widely reported. So, in a way, having a high profile may have actually screwed her over while at the same time, saving the life of some innocent driver.
When you consider the combined sum of negligence and just downright crazy behavior, perhaps you will agree with me, that though there might be nothing wrong with smoking pot, there certainly is if your name is Amanda Bynes.

yeah, maybe she had a mental break down. either way; she should probably give up a couple of those things. or more likely all of them. as a reference; i don’t have a problem with cannabis. once we start going up the ladder; with stuff like booze, i start having a little bit of a problem. but hey if that’s your thing, and you don’t go the way of miss bynes or become a complete jerk within the range of the law. use responsibly to your hearts content. although, i would suggest going the healthy route.

You cite the Daily Mail a couple of times; have you gauged how rabidly anti-cannabis they are? No one can trust their propaganda, so warped is the slant of their yellow journalism against marijuana. Their lies and rumors should never be promoted.
Secondly, it would appear that she has a habit of over-estimating her following distance when driving; as an alternative to blaming pot-smoking, perhaps one might suggest that her vision is to blame.
Lastly, she may not be that troubled by such seemingly minor incidents, relying on fame, fortune, hubris and/or luck to shield her from blame or harm.
When postulating causes, all possibilities should be entertained, if only to be dismissed.
Wow-tweeting Obama takes the cake. Of course all this other behavior could be drugs, or could be she is well aware of a pending jail sentence and is acting cuckoo for cocoa puffs to get a nice hospital stay on a psych unit, much preferable to a jail cell. Probably hoping they will send her to rehabilitation where she will just walk out. Cynical but seen too much of this special treatment when they are famous and have expensive lawyers.
