1 man dead and another with life-threatening injuries in Calgary, multiple shooting

Calgary, Canada — Police are on the scene of a multiple shooting in the city’s northeast Friday, where 1 man has been confirmed dead at the scene, and another man has been rushed to Foothills Hospital Trauma Center with serious, potentially life-threatening condition, his injuries were the result of a gunshot., according to spokesman Adam Loria.

Officers responded to home located in the 100 block of Martin valley Mews N.E., on Friday, November 23. Callers had reported multiple shots fired in the area.

Police said the shooting happened on Martin Valley Mews. Numerous police cars have the area blocked off and the HAWCS police chopper is overhead.

Officers armed with assault rifles are scouring the area for the gunman.

Calgary Police have not made any arrests and, at this time, and investigators do not believe the shooting was random, with neighbors saying vehicles coming and going frequently at all hours suggested classic tell-tale signs of drug dealing out of the house occupied by renters.
