Las Vegas: Man Killed after confrontation with store clerk

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – On Monday, January 7, 2013 a man was killed following a confrontation with a store clerk.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department Dispatch Center received a call yesterday at approximately 5:40 p.m. informing them of a person being beaten by at least two subjects on the sidewalk in the 700 block of East Twain Avenue. Arriving patrol officers located an adult male lying on the sidewalk suffering apparent stab wounds and blunt force trauma. The victim was transported by arriving medical personnel to Sunrise Trauma Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives learned that the victim had been involved in an altercation with a clerk in a convenience store located nearby just prior to being found injured. As a result of the investigation, detectives arrested 30 year old Genaro Padilla Junior and 56 year old Kenneth Glosson, both of Las Vegas, in connection with this crime. Padilla and Glosson were arrested and transported to the Clark County Detention Center. They are both facing one count of 1st Degree Murder with a Deadly Weapon. Both booking photos accompany this release.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
