Jay-Z’s 40/40 club in Atlantic City has closed for good
It has been a good run for Jay-Z and his Atlantic City club 40/40. Now, the club after eight good years is closed for good.
The club suffered major damage from hurricane Sandy and once the lease came to an end this past October. It was decided to close the Atlantic City based club for good.
The club’s spokesperson Ron Berkowitz stated this, “There was a big hole in the roof as well. With the end of the lease and with Sandy, we decided we had a good run, and it was time to move on.”
The club opened in October of 2005 and has since had an amazing run. With some of the hottest celebrities in sports and entertainment stopping by. Celebrities such as Nicki Minaj, Terrell Owens and Beyonce to name a few.
With the Atlantic City based 40/40 club out of business. Club goers can visit Hov’s other two 40/40 locations in New York. There’s one located at West 25th Street in Manhattan and another at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.
