Chicago: Community Alert Suspect Wanted for Robbery

About These Crimes
This alert gives notice to residents of the 12th (Near West) District recent robbery incidents that
have occurred. In these incidents, victims were approached by offenders who threatened the
victims and took their property by force. A weapon was implied, but was not displayed. Incident
times and locations are listed below:

• 1700 block of W. Grand Ave., on April 5, 2013, at approximately 9:00 p.m.
• 1700 block of W. Augusta, on April 6, 2013, at approximately 3:15 a.m.
About The Offenders

Offender descriptions vary, but are generally described as:
• Two male blacks, ages 17-20, 6’00, 120-140lbs

What You Can Do
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
