They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But Geraldo Rivera’s nearly naked self picture post on Twitter brings only one word to mind.
No!
But on closer inspection, just not too close, the 70 year-old looks pretty impressive, despite his near nudity. There aren’t many in this ever thickening world of heavy people who could look that good at his age.
The American attorney, journalist, author, reporter, and talk show host tweeted the nearly naked snap of himself with the caption, “70 is the new 50 (Erica and family are going to be so pissed…but at my age…)”
Rivera has his own newsmagazine program Geraldo at Large and he’s a regular on the Fox News Channel. He has a long history of being a reporter and TV personality who used to report on the more controversial news stories and he hosted his own talk show Geraldo from 1987 to 1998.
The 70 year-old is now starting his own type of controversy as the Twitter world reels from his posted “self portrait” that just misses showing everything!
He’s clearly in a bathroom with a towel just barely covering his blushes while he takes the picture, some say that you can still see his hips and buttocks. We didn’t look that closely, thank you.
But looking even briefly at the picture, you can see that Geraldo has been taking care of himself. At seventy years-old, he looks better than the average 50 year-old that he claims the new “70 is.” The Erica he references in his tweet is his fifth wife, Erica Levy, who he married in 2003.
The world of Twitter have reacted pretty much as expected. The nearly naked self picture post of a 70 year-old man on Twitter, even one who looks better than as great as Geraldo Rivera does for his age, is still a picture of a 70 year-old man. Reactions have humorous, horrified, and dismayed and at least one was supportive:

After the Twitterverse erupted with tweets, that were mostly appalled and filled with references to “you cannot unsee this,” Geraldo removed the tweeted self picture of his near nudity and tweeted:
On July 6, Rivera tweeted that he’d been out celebrating his 70th birthday with wife Erica, perhaps he felt the need to prove to himself and the world that reaching 70 is not the benchmark that it used to be. If nothing else, the very tweet that the old guy posted after taking the self picture is very revealing in and of itself.
If Geraldo Rivera can look that slim and trim, without an ounce of sag or spare fat at one o’clock in the morning, why wouldn’t he want to take a picture and show the world that, in Rivera’s world at least, 70 isn’t old, wrinkly or decrepit.
But all joking and horrified reactions aside, could any other 70 year-olds take a similar picture that looks so impressive in the area of ageing, apparently, very gracefully? This journalist knows people who are years younger than Rivera who don’t look half as impressive as he does in his brief picture on Twitter. And they have clothes on!
We are actually more dismayed that Geraldo Rivera felt the need to take the picture down after it got so much Twitter traffic. His nearly naked self picture was definitely no worse than any taken by certain younger celebrities. Amanda Bynes springs immediately to mind, or Justin Bieber, just to name but two of the younger set who love posting “selfies” on Twitter.

When Donald Trump made Jerusalem captial of Israel in late December 2017, the Jewish people said this was a big step for them to build this Third Temple. They even printed a Temple coin with president Trump’s face on the front with king Cyrus'(the man who built the Second Temple in the Bible) face behind him. On the back of the coin is an image of the Third Temple. They are selling these coins to raise money to build the Temple.
People have been saying for many years that the end is near, but we needed not only the Third Temple, but also the technology for there to be a cashless society for the Mark of the Beast to be a reality.
