
COLUMBUS, Ind. — A single-engine private plane is reported to have crashed and struck a house at 2247 Broadmoor on the north of the city, where the house is on fire, according to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department. The house is just south of Rocky Ford Road and east of Central Avenue.
Smoke could be seen billowing in the sky from areas such as the Kroger grocery store at Central and 25th Street, witnesses said.
Yesterday a plane crashed in Alaska near Thorne Bay injuring several. July 7 an Asiana Airlines flight from Seoul, South Korea crashed at San Francisco International Airport killing several people.
In March A twin-engine airplane crashed near Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and three people were killed.
