Google has reported that slightly under 50 percent of gmail users are experiencing reported outages. The latest update shows Google hopes to restore services to all users within the next hour or so. The outages are creating issues with retrieving Google Documents and Google Presentations, for those who may start feeling frustrated. The initial outages were reported this morning and when a resolution was not discovered quickly, Google reflected the service details on their gmail status page (linked at the bottom of this article).
Currently, Google has not reported the source of the problem or why it is consuming several hours to restore services to all users. Over 7 million people access the popular e-mail platform from homes, offices and mobile devices. Be sure to bookmark the gmail status update page to review when all services will be restored from this outage, affecting some users.
