News has just broken that the International Olympic Committee has just selected Tokyo to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games.
They beat Istanbul and Madrid to the post, winning a secret ballot by 100 IOC members.
Tokyo lost a previous bid to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympics.
This will now be Tokyo’s fourth chance to host the Games since the 1964 Olympics, the 1972 Sapporo Winter Games and the 1998 Nagano Winter Games.
