CNN.com reports former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner has now been charged with a felony count of false imprisonment based on accusations from three women.
Filner resigned from his position in August amid accusations from 19 women of sexual harassment and boorish behavior.
The latest accusations of false imprisonment ” by violence, fraud, menace or deceit” include two misdemeanor charges of battery, according to court records.
Filner is a former nine-term Democratic congressman.
No further information on these new charges is available at this time.
