On Tuesday evening, best-selling author Tom Clancy passed away in a Baltimore, MD, hospital. Clancy will long be remembered as one of the only writers who sold more than two million copies of a novel’s first printing. Some of his most popular work includes books like The Hunt for Red October, Rainbow Six, and Clear and Present Danger. His most recent novel which he co-wrote with Mark Greaney, Command Authority, is still slated for a December 2013 release.
Reporter Julie Bosman of the New York Times revealed this morning that the author’s publisher, Putnam, had already confirmed the death.
