Michael Shumacher, the brilliant retired Formula 1 car driver has slid into a coma as a result of a ski accident in the French Alps. He has undergone brain surgery and hospital management have indicated that Schumacher remains in critical condition. He is being attended to at the University Hospital of Grenoble. His wife, Corinna and his two children are with him
Shumacher is regarded as one of the greatest to ever sit behind the wheel of a Formula 1 racing car. During his racing career Schumacher won the Formula 1 World Championship seven times.
