Chicago Weather Reverses Plan to Keep Schools Open Through Bitter Cold

Chicago weather  reversed plan to keep schools open with bitter cold. Parents were told that schools would be open but they were encouraged to use their own discretion in deciding whether or not to send their children to class during record low temperatures. Emergency officials have urged all residents to stay inside unless they absolutely must go out, and many Chicago students must walk to class. The combination of these factors contributed to the changed decision. The announcement has come as a relief to many  school staff members and parents alike.
