In royal fashion, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian will have their wedding televised for their fans to watch. This report from Daily News comes days after Kardashian had been reported saying she wouldn’t share the date or location to avoid people turning up.
Kardashian recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where she shared her desires for her wedding day. Calling Paris her “second home,” she made it clear that that was where she wanted to be when it came to saying “I do” to fiancé West. The city has now been confirmed as the destination, but the exact location has not been released.
It seems surprising that the couple would agree to having their day televised when the 33-year-old reality TV star had just said she didn’t want everyone turning up on the day. However, it turns out that E! is covering the costs for the big day, which is now in the millions. Upon learning of the offer, West reportedly accepted the opportunity; and who could really blame him?
The rumors about the location started when Kardashian and West were spotted in Paris, visiting the Palace of Versailles. However, the star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians explained that the two had booked a private tour, as it was something they always wanted to do. They were not setting plans to host their big day there; reportedly, the pair wanted to, but the palace officials refused to let it happen. A source explained to Daily News that they tried to use the tour as a chance to convince them, but they still would not allow it.
As well as paying for the West and Kardashian wedding to be televised, E! is reportedly also organizing the security. The aim is to make the day as private and safe for the couple as possible, while allowing all their fans to catch the day in full. The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton comes to mind with all these preparations.
The couple will continue to plan the day around themselves, though. They are dividing up the tasks, so each has an important part in the buildup. Dividing the tasks also keeps it simple for each other.
The date for the wedding has not yet been confirmed, but sources have told Daily News that Kardashian wants a June wedding. Whenever it is, there will be plenty of buildup and that will likely be televised in various ways. No doubt a lot of the buildup and planning will be televised through Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
The exact location of the day will likely be kept secret for as long as possible. Kardashian doesn’t want the same media circus that she dealt with during her second wedding to NBA player Kris Humphries. However, they will probably look for something grand to match both their personalities. A source explained that they wanted to remain practical and have somewhere with plenty of security, so West and Kardashian have not quite chosen a location for their wedding, which will be televised to the public.
