An American Airlines flight to London from Chicago was forced to land in Newfoundland, Canada to remove an unruly passenger.
During its flight to London, a passenger on the aircraft ignored instructions given by flight crew and attendants and continued to be disruptive to the flight. The crew ordered the plane to land in Gander, Newfoundland, so that the passenger could be handed over to and dealt with by Canadian authorities.
The plane refueled in Newfoundland and continued onwards to its original destination of London.
