Michele Savoia Fashion Designer Found Dead in Hudson River

It has just been confirmed that the body of fashion designer Michele Savoia was found just before two in the morning in the Hudson River. Savoia had been missing since Thursday, last seen at the Marquee club just before four o’clock in the morning. A doorman had reported seeing Savoia come home, but had not seen him leave, said police.

Savoia’s driver reported him missing early Saturday morning. Savoia apparently had plans to meet with his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day Night, however he never showed up. The fashion designer lived on a house boat at Chelsea Piers.

Savoia is a well-known designer of men’s wear and has made clothing for some broadway shows as well as for some very well-known celebs such as Matt Dillon and Robert DeNiro.

The designer also owned a store on the lower east side called House of Savoia. He also taught at the Fashion Institute of Technology school.
