Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s separation, Why? According to The Mirror, there was speculation that Gwyneth cheated on Chris with an Ex Boyfriend and gossip that it was Gwyneth’s practice of Kabbalah that cost them their marriage. Also there are rumors that Chris had a hard time living up to her perfect standards. Finally, Gwyneth spent more time focusing on her lifestyle work (Goop) and less on show business; this may have contributed.
Apparently Chris tried to make things work several times but finally moved into a fellow band member’s apartment. The split was not a rash decision but rather a long time coming. Now the couple has reportedly sought refuge in Eleuthera, an island long favored by celebrities who want to escape the limelight.
Although Gwyneth is well-known for not caring what other people think. She emphatically denies all rumors that she cheated. The world may never know if this is true but it seems more likely that the couple have slowly drifted apart due to their differing views of what is important in life.
Gwyneth Paltrow believed in Kabbalah, which according to Kabbalah.com is an ancient wisdom that uncovers how the universe and life works. It is the study of how to receive fulfillment. Chris did not adhere to these practices. Differing spiritual beliefs can have a lasting negative effect on marriage as the two partners become fundamentally separated in thought and practice. Some couples manage to make it work but many marriages fail this difficult test.
Also, Gwyneth’s ideals from her website, Goop likely tore the two of them apart. Goop is a lifestyle publication that informs and inspires its audience. It gives readers access to fashion, recipes, wellness tips, travel guides, cultural info, etc. It is hard to live up to lifestyle changes that include eating, dressing, health, travel and pretty much everything else. Apparently Chris Martin is very laid back and had trouble with all the change.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s Separation, Why? It is likely they tried to make things work and the fact that they are divorcing amicably indicates that they have chosen to take the high road, appreciate the time they spent together, and are moving on. There are lessons to be learned from the couple. It is helpful not to get caught up in the anger one feels when divorcing. “Conscious Uncoupling” sounds like a good idea. According to AOL.com the term comes from Katherine Thomas, a Los Angeles therapist and writer, who created a five-step “Conscious Uncoupling” process that releases the trauma of separation, helps one reclaim power and reinvent one’s life. In this way, the couple chooses consciously to appreciate what they had, release the old and seek a new life.
This is the latest move by the seemingly faultless Gwyneth Paltrow. She has long been criticized for appearing too perfect and generally ticking people off. Current news is stating that she thinks mothers who work 9-5 have it easier than she does as a celebrity. These comments have understandably not been well-received because ultra-rich celebrities brought up with a silver spoon don’t garner much sympathy. She really would do well to quit judging and critiquing others. There must be something about hypocrisy and judgment in Kabbalah.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin separation, why? To sum up, the real reasons behind the divorce are still unknown and the world may never know. When speculating one must realize that these things are cumulative and there are always mistakes on both sides; after all, it takes two to tango right?
