Suicide Has Lead to a Hazmat Situation in Pennsylvania

A suicide in Bucks County, PA has developed into a Hazmat procedure as the man mixed dangerous chemicals to kill himself. The unidentified male mixed the chemicals inside of his apartment complex and neighbors began reporting an unusual stench of rotten eggs.

Law enforcement arrived on the scene and immediately evacuated about 30 people the complex. A Hazmat crew was sent in to investigate and eventually declared it safe and the residents were allowed to return to their homes.

Bill Oettinger, the County Fire Marshal, was on the scene and said the the situation was still under further investigation, but there were “a couple chemicals mixed together” and that the man took a few deep breaths.

Two of the man’s family members were taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures.

Investigators have not yet released the name of the man who committed suicide or the chemicals that they found.
