David Letterman’s CBS contract will expire next year, and he has no intention to sign on for any more seasons. Letterman, the longest-standing late-night talk show host in television history announced his retirement in a taping for his Thursday show that his last episode will be in 2015.
America’s funny man began his career as a late-night host with NBC in 1982 with Late Night with David Letterman and moved to CBS in 1993 to host The Late Show with David Letterman.
David’s departure will beg the question of who will replace the long-time entertainer when he finally says good-bye.
