Contrary to many other celebrities out there, Jennifer Love Hewitt cares more about being there for her daughter’s milestones than her weight loss. She does not care that she still has pounds to go to lose the baby weight, and is enjoying her time as a mom.
It is such a refreshing sound from a celebrity parent. There is so much focus on getting back into the size 0 jeans that it makes everyday moms feel the pressure to do the same.
Like any mom, the thought of losing weight after pregnancy did cross her mind. The 35-year-old actress explained that she feared she would become consumed with getting back to her old size and shape. It all changed when she gave birth to daughter Autumn. She concluded that now she was a mom, and she did not want to go back to the girl she was before this amazing life-changing experience. She told Us Weekly that she is no longer the girl without the “great husband” and current “blissful existence.”
Instead, the Client List star will focus on getting back to her pre-pregnancy weight healthily. She wants to set a good example for her daughter, which is something all mothers should focus on. The good news is she is not the only celebrity who wants to do this. Hewitt is not the only one who proves she cares more about setting a good example for her daughter than her weight loss.
Jessica Simpson recently spoke out about her pregnancy weight gain and subsequent weight loss. After giving birth to her first child, she decided to opt for Weight Watchers as a way to healthily lose the pounds. She has since lost over 50 pounds and is a Lifetime Member. She stuck to the plan after giving birth to her second child, and is back down to her goal weight. Now a Weight Watchers ambassador, she can encourage other new moms to stick to a healthy eating plan and lose weight slowly.
Hewitt has explained that her exercise routine has involved her daughter, and has become a fun thing for the two of them. She enjoys Zumba, and does it with Autumn. Her baby has become an added weight while doing the exercises, making it a little easier to shed the pounds. Following the advice from her trainers and professionals, swimming is another exercise she has enjoyed because it is low impact.
There is some talk of another baby, but at the moment the I Know What You Did Last Summer star and her husband, Brian Hallisay, are enjoying their time with their baby girl. She is now four months and reaching a number of big and amazing milestones, and they do not want to miss any of them. Some of the milestones will seem small, like rubbing arms, but they are important for many parents as they realize their little one is developing and gaining her own personality. This is something that Hewitt really does not want to miss, and cares more about these moments in her daughter’s life than her own weight loss.
