Samsung Group Challenged by LG

The Samsung Group has been challenged by LG, just as they were sitting on top of the world, thanks to the recent release of their next generation smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S5. However, there is now a challenger rising from the midst of the other smart phone manufacturers. Electronics company, LG, has announced that they have a smartphone coming out that will challenge the Samsung Group and their famed Galaxy S5.

Owners of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 will be quick to tell others that it is easily one of the best smart phone on the market, if not the best. LG seems fairly confident that their new cell will boast better internal technology at the point of launch then that of the Samsung Group’s Galaxy S5. LG is a large name in consumer electronic all over the world. Even though they have made phones for Google’s Nexus phone brand they still have a long way to go in terms of sales. Even if their previous generation smart phone, the LG G2, was the winner of gadget of the year by Stuff Magazine in 2013, it will not be an easy market for them with the Samsung Group already so far ahead.

The Samsung Group was challenged by LG with their new smart phone’s display. The LG G3 is rumored to come equipped with a 2,560×1,440 pixel quad high-definition, or QHD, screen. If this fact is true than the G3 will most likely be the first smart phone to integrate the technology into its design. The display is named quad high-definition because it contains four times the amount of pixels than that of a phone with a 720p, or standard high-definition, display. This new technology certainly would put the new LG smart phone out ahead of the Samsung group and the Galaxy S5. Seeing as how the still recently released smart phone only sports a 1920×1080 pixel display. The LG phone also rivals the Galaxy S5 with its screen size and pixel density. While the Samsung group’s smart phone is packing a five point one inch screen, LG and its challenger smart phone are bring a five point five-inch display. The Samsung pixel density is set at an impressive 432 ppi. However, the LG G3 is said to sport a much more impressive 538 ppi.

The challenger known as LG is rumored to combat the Samsung group with their own model of processor dubbed the octa-core processor, which they call “Odin.” The Odin processor is made up of four 2.2GHz Cortex-A15 cores plus another four cores that contain 1.7 GHz Cortex-A7 types.

LG also thought it best to include a built-in fingerprint scanner into their new G3. It is not clear as to if it will outdo or simply just be on par with that of what the Samsung group has put into the Galaxy S5.

Despite the speculations and details given, Samsung could easily keep their advantage simply because their product was the first to come out between the two smart phones. There has been an announcement stating that there will be a release event for the LG G3 that will occur in San Francisco, Istanbul, New York, London, Singapore, and Seoul on May 27 and 28.

The Samsung group has let it slip that they plan to release a new upgraded version of the Galaxy S5 and they will release more information as it develops. The Samsung Group was challenged by LG. The latter has made a bold gambit by challenging Samsung at the release of one their most powerful products. As it stands the Samsung group and the Galaxy S5 stand out ahead.
