Orlando Bloom’s beef with Justin Bieber reached a breaking point early Wednesday morning when the actor got violent, throwing a punch Bieber’s way. The two were at Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza when the incident occurred.
A video posted on TMZ shows what appears to be the Canadian pop star in a shoving match with several others including Bloom. During the 30 second clip, Bieber yells what can be heard as “What’s up, b*itch?”. The video does not contain evidence of the alleged punching, but eyewitnesses insist that the allegations are correct. Bieber chose to leave the restaurant before further escalation of the conflict occurred, an exit that was reportedly heavily applauded by the surrounding crowd.
Ibiza’s Cipriani restaurant is well-known for its A-list celebrity clientele. P. Diddy, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan were all reported to be present at the restaurant when the fight between Bloom and Bieber ensued.
The bad blood between the two men started in 2012 when Bieber was seen in close contact with Bloom’s then-wife, Australian Victoria’s Secret model, Miranda Kerr, after a Victoria’s Secret fashion show. A year later, Bloom and Kerr announced their separation. Their divorce has yet to be finalized. In April of this year, the 37 year-old Lord Of The Rings star was frequently seen in the company of Bieber’s on-again-off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, with whom Bieber has had a history with since 2010. Sources close to Gomez say that there was no attraction between the two, at least on the Come And Get It hit maker’s part, and that Bloom was simply helping Gomez put her life back together after yet another breakup with Bieber.
This is Bloom’s first known incident since becoming a household name in 2001 for portraying the character Legolas in the Academy Award-winning fantasy blockbuster trilogy, Lord Of The Rings. The same cannot be said for 20 year-old Bieber, who has been involved in an array of legal troubles since 2012. He has been accused of vandalism, reckless driving, and driving under the influence. For the latter allegation, the As Long As You Love Me chart-topper was arrested in January of 2014, along with R&B superstar Khalil. Bieber was also booked for driving with an expired license and resisting arrest. Just six days later, Bieber voluntarily turned himself in after assaulting a Toronto limousine driver a mere month before. In regards to the aforementioned vandalism, he was charged in early July with one misdemeanor count of vandalism for egging his neighbor’s house in Calabasas and causing thousands of dollars worth of damage. The singer was forced to pay the neighbor an approximate $81,000 for said damages. Video evidence of the egging was used to support Bieber’s conviction. The Toronto native was also instructed to undergo 12 weeks of anger management, given five days of court ordered community service, and assigned two years probation.
In regards to the altercation that broke out at the Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza, neither Orlando Bloom nor Justin Bieber’s representatives have given any statement. The men themselves also have yet to comment on the matter.
