Christina Aguilera added an addition to her family on Saturday when she gave birth to a baby girl. Now Max, 6, her son from her marriage to music executive Jordan Bratman, will have a kid sister. Aguilera gave birth in Los Angeles, California, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Reportedly, Christina Aguilera gave birth to her new baby daughter by having a cesarean-section performed on her.

Her baby daughter is the first child The Voice judge has had with her fiance, Matt Butler, 29. This past Valentine’s Day, Butler used the romantic occasion to propose to her. Aguilera met assistant film producer, Butler, while on the set of the movie Burlesque. At the beginning of 2014, Aguilera also worked with Lady Gaga on a remake of Do What U Want. She did the parts of the song that, in the original, had been sung by R. Kelly.

The Grammy Award winning singer also poses nude in a photo shoot she did which is in the August edition of V magazine. She has also mentioned that after she gets rid of any baby weight, she wants to pose nude for Playboy magazine. It is something which sources have said Aguilera has wanted to do for some time. According to Aguilera, “I’m proud to embrace my body through all stages of life.”

During her baby shower, which Aguilera had on July 12, guests were served pink champagne in honor of her being pregnant with a baby girl. The cake for the shower was, reportedly, quite graphic, depicting a blonde woman giving birth. Aguilera’s fiance, Matt Butler, was also at the baby shower, according to Us Weekly. There has not yet been any word about what the name of Aguilera’s daughter will be.

This coming season of The Voice, Christina Aguilera is taking off to spend some quality time with her new baby daughter and the rest of her family. Gwen Hollaback Girl Stefani is taking over her judge’s seat, but Aguilera will be back the following season.

Besides winning four Grammy Awards and one Latin Grammy Award, Christina has also been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her self-titled debut album, Christina Aguilera, debuted in 1999 and went to the number one spot on the Billboard 200. Then, in 2006, Aguilera got her second gold record with her studio album, Back to Basics.

Among her many other accomplishments, Christina Aguilera was ranked by Rolling Stone magazine at number 58 on their “100 Greatest Singers of All Time” list. She is the youngest singer to have ever appeared on the list. It is no wonder, when the popular singer has sold over 50 million albums worldwide, 17.4 million in the United States, alone. The Genie in a Bottle singer was recognized by Billboard as being the twentieth most successful artist of the 2000s.

Still, as with moms in general, Christina Aguilera, who gave birth to a new baby daughter on Saturday, likely feels that her two children are the best “awards” that she has ever been given. She will probably receive many other awards in her life, but children are, arguably, the most precious ones of all. Congratulations from the Guardian Liberty Voice on the birth of your baby daughter, Christina!

As I mention in the article, no, not yet, at least as of yesterday. I haven’t checked today.
