Earthquake Shakes Southern Nevada

Earthquake

A small earthquake shook southern Nevada Wednesday evening as the sun was setting. The tremors were centered around a spot 37 km West northwest of Goldfield, Nevada. At a magnitude of only 1.6, with a depth of 10 km, this was not a major seismic event for many on the surface. Given the series of quakes between Tuesday and Wednesday across the border in California, however, some are wondering if there may be more to come or if this is a continuation of this series of quakes.
